Week 6 – Garden Share 2015

The brassicas (think cabbages, collards, kale, broccoli) are the kings and queens of the garden this season.  They are loving all the moisture and coolness and are glorious and abundant.  Here are some great ideas to use your collards in the share this week in lieu of tortillas and bread using the same ingredients you would for a sandwich or a wrap.  Also the collard wrap is a great way to make a salad more portable or to use for making nori like rolls with suchi rice and veggies.  Check out the recipes below and let us know what you discover to wrap up in a collard leaf.

We have fennel in the share for the first time this season.  Fennel looks a little intimidating but once you know how to handle it you will look forward to seeing it in the box again.  First a bunch of recipes and then a recipe a market customer turned us on to that sounds a little fishy but tastes amazing.
