Broiler Chicks Round One

200 Freedom Rangers arrived today from J&M Hatchery.  We converted our old layer house to a deluxe brooder. The new brooder is awesome.

Pond Cleaning Day

After draining the pond by irrigating the field we raked up as much of the organic debris as we could.  Then I used the old 2 inch suction line to suck the crud out of the perforated pipe and sent it down the spillway ditch.

Hoopin’ it up

Our friend, Clay, is lending us a small hoophouse to use this year.  We got the hoops up before the snow picked up too much.  We plan on using the space help expand the flower production.
