Farm Products – Eggs

Scratching and clucking, the chickens at Weathervane Farm are raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones, roaming on green pastures, basking in the sun and eating bugs. The eggs are hand collected, hand washed and then passed from our hands to yours.

Besides providing delicious eggs, our hens give fertility back to the garden in the form of their composted manure. As the hens strut out to pasture along the perimeter of the garden they help us by consuming insect pests along the way. They are an important part of the cycle of life here at the farm. We have a new flock of day old chicks arriving soon to raise for our 2012 egg supply.  We are excited about trying some new pasturing techniques and breeds to improve our egg production program.
